You came to me like a whirlwind
Looked thrilling to throw myself in but also terrifying A cold burst of whisper telling me it’ll be safe inside Took a step forward then you were out of my sight She doesn’t look like an immortal being. In fact, she doesn’t look like a typical creature at all.
Does she wake up early just to call you and say good morning like I used to?
Does she listen to all your problems when you think you can no longer carry them like I used to? When she walks out her door, do you know that she's trying not to see the memories you left inside her room?
When she puts on her lipstick, do you know she's trying not to look pale? And when she puts her make-up on, do you know she's trying not to look like she cried herself to sleep? "Ugh! Whore" "It seems like you've been in prison already." "Why did you put such dirt on your skin? You're ruining your body!" We frequently hear these expressions whenever others see a girl who has a great deal of tattoos on her skin. |
