When she walks out her door, do you know that she's trying not to see the memories you left inside her room? When she puts on her lipstick, do you know she's trying not to look pale? And when she puts her make-up on, do you know she's trying not to look like she cried herself to sleep? When you see her eyes brimming, do you know that there are tears hiding behind those eyes? When you see her smile, do you know that that’s her trying to look strong? When you hear her powerful voice, do you know that there are screams that she has been holding inside? And when you hear her laugh, do you know that she wanted to break down? When you see her having fun at day, do you know that she’s alone and empty at night? When you see her trying to uplift someone else’s soul, do you know that her own soul is lost and wandering around? And when someone asked her if she’s okay, do you know that it makes her fragile and makes her want to just burst out all her emotions? When you left her, do you know that it frightened her a lot? It scares her that no one will ever love her again after you took everything from her. It scares her that no one will ever look at her eyes without judgments, without doubts. And it scares her that she will be forever unloved and unwanted. When you left her, do you know that you took pieces of her? You took pieces of her that made her feel incomplete. You took pieces of her that it made her harder to breathe. And you took pieces of her that it will be impossible for her to be whole again. When you left her, do you know that she’s grieving every day? She’s grieving that a big part of her life was lost. She’s grieving that she can’t be the woman you need. And she’s grieving that she can’t be the one who can make you happy and complete. Lastly… Do you know that she’s trying hard to make her life as normal as possible? And when she stood up, walked her way, do you know that she still carries her shattered heart inside of her, trying to put the pieces back together? SHARE THIS ARTICLE: |
